I have one question.If  VSCAN is disable from netapp filer and if that filer is connected to symantec.

Would it be detected by  Symantec ?

I mean can symantec detect if vscan is enable or not...Would it be possible to configure notification if vscan is disable ?

Hi,

No, the engine only receives data from the filer, it will never poll the filer for information.  You would have to set up a process on the filer itself if the vscan option is disabled or not.
