Hi Guys,

I am trying to configure Replication on two single node clusters which are geographically seperated but I am failed to do so. As per the installation document, I should have an Application service group and replciation service group inorder to work. But when I try to create Application service group I get an error " "No shared drives discovered. Possibly there are no volumes configured on the shared disks or they are reserved by a service group in the current configuration. Cannot continue Error V-16-13-2041". This is a new configuration and as I mentioned we do not have shared storage it’s all internal storage in the cluster. Please confirm whether VVR with VCS works on internal storage.

Thanks

Hi Kurapati, Sorry for the

Hi Kurapati,

Sorry for the late reply.

What OS are you running?

Do you have a clustered disk group created with volumes?  If so can you import and deport it without errors?

Do you have the OS and the disks to be used in the cluster on the same bus (same scsi adapter)?

Thanks,
Wally

VVR on single node clusters are supported

Hi Kurapati,

Configuring VVR on single node VCS clusters are supported and works ok.
It appears the issue is the method used to create the Application Service Group.

Could you provide more details about the environment / configuration?

Regards
Srini
