vxconfigd daemon error

Hi

When I am trying to start vxvm from mirror disk,I am getting given below error

 

  vxconfigd -k
vxvm:vxconfigd: ERROR: enable failed: Error in disk group configuration copies
        No valid disk found containing disk group; transactions are disabled.
 

# vxconfigd -r reset
vxvm:vxconfigd: ERROR: cannot open /dev/vx/config: Device is already open

More info, please...

Does "start vxvm from mirror disk" mean that are you booting from the root-mirror?

Is this question related to your other post where your 3.5 system crashed?

how was root mirrorring before, was mirror disconnected from some time ?

 

why is the need to start vxconfigd manually ? was't it running before ?

ps -ef |grep vxconfigd
