vxdg split space requirement

what kind of space requirement is needed for vxdg split?

You don't need any space in the diskgroup or filesystems - vxdg split is just changing the private egions on the disks to split it into two diskgroups.  The volumes and any attached DRLs or DCOs must be self contained on the disks you are splitting off.
