    We just had an outbreak of this virus at my site and SEP is NOT detecting it.  This virus is also disabling SEP with no alert from the tamper protection.  We had to download Sophos since it would detect this virus.  The thing I don't understand is that Symantec's write-up of this virus says that it was identified in virus updates starting back in June.  Is anyone else having the same problems that I am?

    Sounds like a new variant. Can you submit a sample to Security Response? This way they can create a new definition for the latest variants of this threat.

     Is there anything new on this? The tread is three weeks old. I just ran into the same situation.
