Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

Hello, We have been having an issue for many months now that has been driving me crazy.  All the machines effected are Windows 7.  These machines will get 'stuck' at various points throughout the log in process, mostly stuck at 'welcome'  We did a push of SEP a few months back to all machines and it seems to be causing the issue.  I used a test machine that was having the issue, uninstalled Symantec and installed Security Essentials.  The machine has not had the issue since. 

However, I need a fix for this as Symantec is our company wide anti-virus.  Please help.

What components are you running? What happens if you only test wuth AV installed?

Our SEP is verson 12.1.4032.4080...we remotely pushed the basic install package to each user.

But running firewall? all components?

Anything in the Traffic log?

If you disable the fw as a test, what's the result?

Where would I go to see the traffic log? 

On the client GUI go to Network Threat Protection >> Options >> View Logs

Anything that I should be looking for in them? 

Any block for legitimate traffic

I do not see anything that stands out at this point however I did disable the firewall and I don't seem to be having the log on issue yet. 

I take that back....I just got it to hang with the firewall disabled....

Nothing that stands out....problem is, I don't think the machines get far enough into the log on process to log any events. 

May want to ring up support to get them involved. They may need to review your current settings.
