Greetings All

I just wanted to see if Wake on Lam is working for anyone via Altiris. Mine works only about 30% of the time. I do not understand why.

Is it Altiris

Is it the PCs

Is it the Network

Cheers

Hello,

We have these issues as we have a mixed supported environment. WOL will work if the configuration is WOL enabled from the server to the PC: Server, Swith/Router (Network), Gateway, PC. As we have a pool of gateways some are allowing the WOL some are not which will be seen sometime it works sometime it doesn't.

just 2cts

Thanks

We have been using it for years pretty reliably. If the machine has been rudely shut down via the power switch, sometimes they will not come back up with a Wake On Lan. I have a virtual server servicing multiple sites and networks. I have multiple machines on each network with the Wake on Lan proxy set in their aclient settings. I tell people to NOT turn these machines off.
