Want to disconnect all users in the branch office because they decrease the VPN speed

Hello ,

The symantec Endpoint Protection 12 installed on the main office , from a few days I estableshed a new branch office with VPN connection & about 20 users moved to the new branch office .

the problem are these users effect the VPN connection & almost down the internet speed on the main office because of updates & syncronization between the client "new site" & the symantec server " main site

as a temp & fast solution I just need the users not to communicate to symantec server till & managed another one on the new branch office "site"

how can I accomplish this please ? by using Sylink.xml ?

IF you have a downloaded install package for SEP clients from symantec website or from the CD

Open the SEP folder you will be having sylink.xml it is for self managed clients 

USing that sylink.xml you can replace them on the other brance so they wont contact the SEPM anymore...

The Best would be to replace the Sylink.xml file from all the Managed machines. Just copy the Sylink.xml file from SEP folder in the Software package which has been downloaded and Paste it into the Program Directory of Symantec
