ok embarrased on this one.

But a warning in the event viewer would be nice instead of doing a full dtrace to figure it out.

I setup a new vault store group and created a partition for the users and setup auto enable.

But when I ran a report there was zero items being storaged even though the policy for the people was anything more than 1 day.

after a couple hours of debugging and dtracing and using baretail to watch the log.  I found it.

I set the partition to ready instead of opened doh.

It's fixed but would be ncie to have seen something in the event viewer to say warning your trying to archving people to a partition that is not opened yet
