I will be decomissioning the current SAV parent server, which has SAV, SSC and AMS. I have not removed any of these yet because when I have done so in the past I've had disasterous results when attempting to install SEP, either it would not work, or I would have to rip the registry apart, sometimes resulting in a server crash. I have not removed anything yet, and I wanted to get as much information possible before I did. I see a lof of instructions on a "manual" removal of SSC/AMS, but I am not there yet and hope NOT to be. I want to know what is the best method to decomission this server and remove ALL of these programs. Is there some kind of sequence? I have cleanwipe but I want to first remove the programs from the Server. Once all of that is done, I want to make this a SEP, possibly a GUP server.

    Thank you

Are all the clients off of it and moved over to SEP?

    Cleanwipe will do the trick.

Not all, I did delete them, I am guessing they will come right back though. It's tricky because two of the clients are exchange server, so I have to walk on eggshells with them before upgrading those to SEP

    Yea, they will come back.

How do you plan for them to get updates?

Basically, you should be able to remove via add/remove programs, if that fails, use Cleanwipe.

I really hope it doesn't come to a manual uninstall, I really hate that!

They have no updates right now since I think July '13, I just want to disconnect them and prevent them from coming back. They will ALL become SEP clients

Hmmm, 2 of them are E-Vault servers, I know I will have a battle on my hands to bring those to SEP.
