Recently we have a need to use the Web Console in Altiris Deployment Server. I am running DS 6.9 SP2. It seems that the only supported browser is IE6. Is this true or is there a work around to make IE 7 work?

Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks

IE8

did you try IE8?  i find it actually fixed a bunch of compatability problems that IE7 had, and you can force it to run compatability mode on a specific website.

We don't and won't have IE8

We don't and won't have IE8 in our environment for some time.  With our new DS 6.9 sp2 install, what options do I have to get IE7 to work?

theres always firefox.  IE7

theres always firefox.  IE7 had major problems with websites like this and other internally hosted sites like Dell open manage, helpdesk software ect.  while im sure there might be some work around personally i have given up on IE7.  IE8 seems to have fixed all of those problems and before that came out i used firefox to get around the problem.  maybe somebody else has a better idea

If you did then that is the

If you did then that is the issue. I have found that if a PC has IE 7 installed and you upgrade to IE8, the webconsole doesnt like that and display the 1st error you are seeing. If you go from IE6 to IE8, that seems to work just fine. Every PC here that has IE7 then IE8 installed, the webconsoles would display the error. I do not know why this is nor have I really researched the issue.
