Friday i did a clean install of Altiris DS 7.1 and it was working great. I went on to my client machine because i could not get it to push the agent over the network. I opened up IE on the client, went to the console and it started to load it like normal and then it start to not work. I went back on to my servers IE browser and the menus didnt work anymore and i was getting a ton of javascript errors in the console output. Recycling the pool didnt work or a restart failed me. Repairing Altiris didn't work either....is there a easy solution to fix this if this happens again. Without having to unisntall Altiris and then install Altiris again....

In the mean time i have put the agent and deployment plugin on a usb stick and will manually install it.

a.log is the basic log  for tracking all NS activity.  Information from various modules, including the Altiris Service, Task Services, and IIS are included in this log file.  The most current file will be called "a.log", with progressively older files being labeled with an appended number in the following format: "aXX.log".  This is one of the logs displayed in the Altiris Log Viewer.

Location: "C:\Programdata\symantec\SMP\logs\a.log file".

The location can vary but you can get the locaion from the altiris log viewer.
