Hey Guys,

This is odd, I'd just asked the support about how to get installation logs of SAV and what he told me was the support for SAV 1.0.14 was already ended. and I need to move to Symantec Endpoint for Linux? I look around google about  Symantec Endpoint for linux and didnt found any  Symantec Endpoint for linux page on symantec about  Symantec Endpoint for linux.

What's happening T_T,.

Yes SAV reached EOL . There is no SEP for Linux but only SAV which can be found in CD2 of SEP download

Linux computers can be protected by Symantec AntiVirus for Linux (SAV for Linux, SAVFL).  Details on the distros covered can be found in System requirements for Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0.  Using an optional tool called SAVFL Reporter, some data can be forwarded from the SAVFL clients to the SEPM for inclusion in reports and alerts generated by this management console.

There is  no support for SAV for Windows. For linux its fully supported. thats the only AV you can install on linux

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your query.

This is the page where you can see product life cycle details but it's only for SEP versions.

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=releasedetails&key=54619&searchid=1311515821687#

In the latest version i.e. SEP 12.1 RU3 releast notes, here is the important note:

Note: This release does not update the Symantec Endpoint Protection Mac client,
which remains version 12.1.2. This release also does not update the Symantec
Antivirus for Linux client, which remains version 1.0.14.

I have SEP 12.1 RU1 setup on my machine so I have taken the screenshot of SEP 12.1 RU1 part 1 files.

You will see SAV for linux there.

Screenshot is attached to the reference.
