Is the old Help desk forum still accessible? Since not everyone will upgrade right away from Help Desk to Service Desk.

Helpdesk forum still available

Hi Rob,

When we discussed the addition of ServiceDesk we took that very thing into consideration - so Helpdesk will remain as a product type and a forum discussion area. Hope that 2nd cup of coffee helped!

We're ready

I'm looking forward to the release date. As an organization, we have been participating in the beta and SD7 looks terrific. In this forum, I'd like to see anything and everything you can share...as soon as you can share it. In particular, our clients have been asking to see the documentation and a list of what training resources will be available right away. Thank you.

FRANK

Like a precise & detailed "hardware requirement" for exemple?

Yep, we are a lot waiting for some more information, or just accessing the PDF manual, at least  ?

Nop, I can't download it...

Well, It is one of the most "silent" launch I never see... OK Symantec, I can understand you do not change the web home page for that, but all the same, any banner, any news...??
No. Nothing more before 4th, than after...  !!
Well Symantec what did you do exactly on 4th septembre for the launch of Servicedesk 7 ?
2,5 years after the 1st announce...

Ok I got it to download!

Go into the SIM, product listing settings and Edit the default (solutionsam.com). Change the refresh interval to whatever. the PL will automatically reset to servicedesk-solution.pl.xml (something like that) and you can get SD7 then.

SD7 and Server 2008 64-bit

Does anyone know if Server 2008 64-bit  supported for SD7? Is NS7 supported for 2008?

Unable to create a ticket in the new ServiceDesk

OK...I can install the product, but once it installs and I try to add a test incident/problem/change in I get. "An error has occured, Please try again later or contact ...." It looks like it is a trap in the workflow, but I can't  find a log file anywhere. Then only thing in my event viewer application log is this"

Found the answer to my problem

I ended up fixing it., by adding the "authenticated users" to the built-in users group.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/924035

Then I ripped out ServiceDesk, rebooted and reinstalled. Then it worked!

I also want to appologize for adding problem in the wrong thread.
