Whadda ya think? White House appoints new Cybersecurity Coordinator.
Though trying to get away from the term "czar," this new "cybersecurity coordinator" fills a czar-like post in the expanding Obama administration. Howard Schmidt is a veteran of both eBay and Microsoft, and served as a cybersecurity "advisor" in the Bush Administration. Schmidt's new role under Obama will be to set computer security policy and to provide budgeting guidance to the administration. I'm sure the TV news programs will be talking this up starting tonight (Tuesday, Dec. 22). What are your thoughts on this?
