This issue has been solved. See solution.
What needs to be backed up in this situation: a blade server farm with 8 hyper-v hosts, exchange DAG, sql cluster, shared storage. should i backup the hyper-v hosts and the DAG, assuming that the VM's will also be backed up or should i backup individual servers (vm's)?with the latter option what is the catch in terms of recovery? The BE server is on a blade and im using B2D
In terms of agents, i have access to several agents (apps and db, exchange, hyper-v, etc)
best regards

Hi,
First-off, check the TN below which highlights Symantec's best practices around this, and the TN on how to configure your backups:

Furthermore, it might be worth your while to check out the video below (quite long), but it discusses how to backup Hyper-V:

Thanks!
If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.
Thanks CraigV, im going thru the materials and will revert back
If your DAG is spread over move than 1 VM, then you cannot do a GRT restore from your VM backups. You would have to backup Exchange normally, i.e. as if Exchange is on physical machines, if you want GRT restores of Exchange.
