What to buy because whole disk encryption is no longer available

    Hello,

I am an accountant and I have some important data on my laptop. I just want to make sure if I forget my laptop in a cafe no one can access my data.

So I need to encript my whole disk. So I go to Symantec, select small business, go to encryption and I have no idea what product to buy.

I see that if I buy endpoint encription I need to have a Server to first install management encription then install the client on my laptop. Is that true?

Can you help me in selecting the product I need because I only have this laptop, not a server.

    So to make it clear:

What do I have to buy to encrypt my whole disk on my laptop windows 8.1 pro? (I want to be able to encrypt my stick too)

    Thank for your help.

With the two drive encryption products merging, this can get a bit confusing, so I hope this helps:

When you buy a license for Symantec Endpoint Encryption, it also will include a download and license for Symantec Encryption Desktop for Drive Encryption, which would be the preferred product for a standalone installation.  After purchase, you can download Symantec Encryption Desktop version 10.3.2 mp4, and install that.

If you have any trouble with the process of downloading/installing, you could open a ticket with Technical Support for assistance.

If you do not receive the appropriate license, you can call customer care at 1-800-721-3934.
