Which Suite are you asking about? Client, Server, or Asset?



When Notification Server is installed, nothing additional is installed. You could load something like Dell or HP Client Manager for free, which would load the Task Server component as well.

Depending on the level:

Level 1 - Software Delivery, Patch Management, Inventory Solution, Deployment Solution, Application Metering, Application Management

Level 2 - Real Time System Manager (+ all of the above)

Level 3 - Recovery Solution (+ all of the above)

Not to be contrary, but based on the documentation that I received from Altiris sales, here are the different products for CMS levels:

CMS Level 1:

Application Management solution

Application Metering

Carbon Copy (to be replaced by PCAnywhere lite)

Deployment solutions for clients

Inventory solution

Patch management

Software delivery

Wise Tool Kit



CMS Level 2:

All CMS L1

Local recovery Pro

Real-Time system manager

SVS

Wise package studio pro (1 license per 1000 nodes purchased)



CMS Level 3:

All CMS L2

Recovery Solution for Clients.

Not contrary at all. Local Recovery Pro is end of life already, and as you mentioned Carbon Copy is going to be replaced by PC Anywhere. Everything else you mentioned is correct.
