What is the difference between Partners "who only have STS Certified" and "who have STS Certified+Specialized".

Like in terms of the only STS certified never get discounts etc

Without digging out the actual documentation from PartnerNet:

  • STS Certified is the award for successfully passing an STS exam.
  • STS Certified + Specialized means that the partner has sucessfully been awarded an STS accreditation but they have also met the requirements for specialization (Endpoint Managment, Enterprise Security, etc...) This usually involves multiple STS accreditations as well as SSE+ accreditations. For instance, the Endpoint Managemnet specialization requires 2 different individuals on staff who have each successfully achieved one (1) Symantec Sales Expert (SSE) from CMS/SMS, AMS, ITMS; A minimum of two (2) different individuals on staff who have each successfully achieved one (1) Symantec Sales Expert Plus (SSE+) from CMS/SMS, AMS; and a minimum of two (2) different individuals on staff who has each successfully achieved both Symantec Technical Specialist (STS) accreditations in SMP and CMS.
