I am pushing a 12 upgrade now.
The Sylink.xml is located in the
\\SERVERNAMEc$\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus
Folder which is not the typical directory for Symantec EP
Hello,
I believe you have ran the setup from the shared drive.
I would suggest to run the installation from the Local drive instead.

I pushed SEP12 out to it, it did complete successfully, just have to restart it to see if it work.

Repair never works
Repair has been working much nicer in 12.1

Uninstalling and re-installing from local drive will fix your problem.

I think installing the 12 will do the uninstalling for me
Yes it should upgrade over 11.x. A reboot is than needed. Should be ok after that.
After you uninstall SEP and Liveupdate, make sure you have the setup package ran from the Local machine.
