What is EV Cache ? is that features only available on the EV email archiving only ?

Vault Cache referenced in that post does refer to an offline copy of the mailbox.  It is only available for Exchange and Domino archiving.

QuadroTech has a offline cache for FSA if you were interested in something like that.  http://www.quadrotech-it.com/products/evtools/prem...

Thanks for the response Tony, in this case does it means I it requires 1 : 1 storage capacity or some amount of sotrage to hold the cache on the client side ?

You can set the vault cache to be a maximum size in the Desktop policy.  If the users archive is larger than the allocated size only the youngest items are kept.
