o Configure 1 specific Symantec Endpoint Protection client (GUP) on same LAN as Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to heartbeat every 2 minutes
    1. Create a group specifically for this one Symantec Endpoint Protection client. (This is for configuration, tracking and organizational purposes).
    2. Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager starts to build needed deltas in advance for most Symantec Endpoint Protection clients and GUP's connecting looking for specific delta files.

I think the above text is directed towards, making the SEPM to create deltas for a particular group, so that the process will work faster when more clients are added to the Group.

The second point indicates a property of SEPM and how it deals with deltas. The first point is for using this property for efficient use of the deltas.

If you provide some more text before or after this paragraph that will help us to determine the exact context of the discussion.

    Cheers,
    Aniket

That looks like an excerpt from the GUP best practices document.

I think the idea behind what you posted is for you to create a group, place only one machine in it and then set that group to pull with a heartbeat of every two minutes. This will force the SEPM to create deltas on a more regular basis so that they are already available when a large group comes looking for numerous different deltas.

    I.e.

Group 1 = 2 minute heartbeat = three deltas spread out over an hour’s time

Group 2 = 60 minute heartbeat = three deltas needed right now

At least that is my interpretation of the excerpt that you posted.
