I am setting up Ghost 3.0 on a VM server and want to setup the firewall correctly (inbound and outbound traffic) but cannot find documentation about it. Can you please point me to the correct documentatio or let me know what firewall settings need to be created to use the new ghost 3.0 suite.

Have you encountered any operational issues that lead to you asking this question?  I don't recall seeing any specific references to ports which need to be opened to make Ghost work. Or is your situation somehow more locked down by default than a standard build?

I am running the system at a university and the security is very strict. I have the clients installed and reporting to the console. I can send a restart command from the VM server GSS3 Console and it works on the client. If I try to do a file copy or execute a script or anything else it fails and says "A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed becuae connected host has failed to respond. Failed (Status Code 10060)

    Hi there!

The Installation and Upgrade guide for Ghost Solution Suite 3.0 has a list of ports and protocols listed starting on page 20.That should be a good starting point.

Thanks, that was helpful getting the File Copy to work. I still cannot use the remote control/ remote desktop or the remote client install to work. I get a similar error "Client did not respond in time" is there another network port that needs to be opened for this feature to work?

Do you know if Remote Registry is enabled on the clients? This could be the issue.
