You

That option is used to assign packages to Groups

if your client is running any older version ..u can assign a new version to a particular group so that they upgrade the software automatically..

Hi,

Upgrade client software:

After upgrading the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager successfully we need to upgrade the Symantec Endpoint Protection Client software which is installed on workstations.

There are two ways to upgrade the clients software from Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console.

Auto Upgrade

How to upgrade Symantec Endpoint Protection Client software using Auto Upgrade Wizard:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO55058

OR

Manual Upgrade

Go to Clients tab on Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager console in the middle pane select the appropriate group and on right hand pane click on Install Packages

Right click on empty area and click on Add and select the appropriate packages and click on ok.

Please restart the computers if it’s possible, after restart you will see the 12.1 version.
