What happens to the catalog when you delete a DiskPool

if you delete a diskpool and there still are images on them what happens when the image clean up runs and wants to remove the expired images but can't find the diak pool?

I dont  think you can delete the disk pool when it has the valid images. 

You cannot delete a disk pool that has unexpired backup images. You must first expire the images and delete the image fragments, as follows:

You cannot delete a disk pool using NBU commands or the GUI while there are still images on the disk.

All disk images need to be duplicated off the STU, then expired from disk STU before NBU will allow disk pool to be deleted.

If disk pool is manually removed with OS tools, image cleanup will fail with status 174.

what if you cannot access the disk pool for example it got destroyed?
