This issue has been solved. See solution.
Hi,
I have implemented 6 node GCS ( 4 -Primary, 2- Secondary) with VVR. Apart form this we have one local VVR (Primary-LAN) and one remote VVR (other Location) which is not VCS.I have planned to increase additional 100GB of Data .but my SRL is only 50GB,  I assume it will go to autodcm.
At the time of updating what will happen? and how it will replicate  all 3 sites ?
Regarding Mutlisite Replication- Whether it will go parallel? Or it will replicate only secondary and remaining will start  as fresh after completing secondary?

Hello, As long as you have

Hello,

As long as you have multiple rlinks, replication should go in parallel to all the 3 sites...

Can you elaborate on what is your question regarding updating ?

hi, My total DB volume size

hi,
My total DB volume size is 500GB, but used size is 240 GB, i have plan to add addtional 100 GB in this Volume . After adding 100GB of data the DB Volume Used Size become 340 GB.

Details of Primary site Diskgroup are
DB-  500 GB ( Used 240GB) ,
Log- 100 GB ( used 20 GB) ,
Temp- 45 GB ,
RegRep- 200MB ,
SRL -50 GB .

The DB and LOG volumes are configured for replication (VVR )

My Question is How the Replication will go in  all 3 sites after addting addtional 10GB  Data in  DB Volume .My SRL is only 50 GB

Hello, SRL is a log which

Hello,

SRL is a log which will come in use if your replication link is paused/stopped. SRL also tracks the writes happening on primary so that they can be replicated to secondary.

So till the time your replication links are healthy (rlink bandwidth is good) & replication can go faster than your write speed of application, you shouldn't have issues with any size of volumes you keep, even 50GB would be ok.

So to short down, if your application writes much faster (faster than replication), then SRL might start getting filled & then can overflow where you will land in autodcm mode (2nd level protection), & if your replication has good bandwidth (faster than application writes), even 50GB SRL would be good.

Hope this answers.

Gaurav
