  • 1.  What is the latest version of CleanWipe?

    We're instructed to always use the latest version of CleanWipe. How do we find out what the latest version is on this unsupported product? Is it updated with every new release of Endpoint?

    Have they changed the version naming scheme on CleanWipe? The one I got last year by opening a case is 11.0.6000.550, but a recent entry here says the most recent version is 6.2.

    Yes ; earlier one had some issues which used to corrupt network drives; so better use the latest one :)

    Hello,
     
    Latest version of CleanWipe Tool is CleanWipe_v6.2.
     

    CleanWipe uploaded from RU6MP2 - 12/10/10. Now removes SCS 3.1 Quarantine and SCFPolcy folder.

    Tool supports the following OS's:

    • XP 32/64
    • Vista 32/64
    • 2000 32/64
    • 2003 32/64
    • 2008 Server 32/64
    • Windows 7 32/64

    Use this version for both SEP and SAV installs. This will remove the VirusDefs Folder everytime. 

     

    You can log a case on web portal to receive tool.

    Our KB site is having issues, try revisiting the links a bit later. You can open a case with support to get the 6.2 version of Cleanwipe.

    @ Brian, Where did you download version 6.3 from? I am only seeing 6.2 in my downloads section.
