We believe that those issues were fixed in 8.5, but if you are experiencing them please open a case under your support agreement so we can investigate.

I saw no mention of any Backup Exec issues in the referenced PDF, hence I must remain skeptical.

Nevertheless I will install 8.5, observe, then decide what to do.

I opened a ticket during Spring 2008 on this issue and have not received any resolution or update.
