So it doesnt require the licence,
can I ask about the usefulness of providing the license file and create a big misunderstanding for alot of people, I waste alot of time searching for the way to activate SEP and what to do with the (.slf file)???

I thought that symantec is using the .slf file to identify the number of licenced users of the product.

what about the two installation folders: CD1 and CD2

I proceed the installation from CD1, Do I have to care about CD2

in CD1 you will SEPM (server soft), SEP (client soft) for both 32 and 64 bits.
In CD2 you will gwt the softwares like quaritine server,sav for linx,LUA etc...

Basically from CD1 you will get almost all required things.CD2 contains some additional softwares and tools.

That was realy usefull.

You must have bought SEP protection suite which contains Symantec mail security products as well..Slf is used for them.
You can open the SLF file in a notepad and you can read which products it is for.

Most probably you have symantec mail security as well and it would be for that..however you ca n check in the slf file. 

Yes you are right, but this is confusing the users,

Symantec End Point Suite is a wonderful security tool, but it should be less complicated to be install and manage.

OK I have got the [.slf] file but I don't know how to use it to activate the "mail security" as well as other services.

Should I copy the key file to a any location within Symantec programm folder directory.
for example: 
                          C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SmcLU

Or can I import it from the system itself?

Nice that the .SLF file is not needed for enterprise deployments.

It would be nicer if they would mention something about the fact that it is not needed in the e-mail or clearly on the website.  I've just spent a half hour trying to figure out what to do with this file... :(
