In its recent technote on Flexible Disk option http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/305161.htm Symantec claims that they are going to drop Shared Disk option in NetBackup 7.0. I know that it is hardware-dependent techlology, but, on the over hand, it looks very promising for big datacenters with lots of disk arrays. Is Symantec going to offer any substitute in 7.0?
