NBU 7.1.0.2, CFS 5.1, RedHat 5.7.

Ex. from NetBackup_SANclient_Guide ;

In most cases, if a backup uses the NetBackup Fibre Transport data transfer method, a restore also occurs by the Fibre Transport method.
However, some backup methods may not support Fibre Transport restores. FlashBackup does not use shared memory for restores; therefore, FlashBackup does not support Fibre Transport restores. FlashBackup restores occur over the LAN.

Just use "Standard" policy type

Standard policy type backup can be configured with FIbre Transport, and support vxfs.
Although using SFCFS, it can be considered as same as vxfs from application layer.

Standard, and as vxfs...

OK, but as in my inital posting, the Ex. I found shows as unsupported. - will I run into more limitations ?

As we all are part of the product, we're in here to improve it.

FlashBackup policy type

As you quoted, FlashBackup policy type is not supported. But Standard policy type is supported.
Standard policy type is most basic and common backup type.if this is not supported, what type of backup we use with FT?
