  • 1.  When adding a Client Package?

    Posted May 09, 2012 02:13 PM

I have upgraded to SEPM 12.1 RU1 and have to add a install package for my servers group. I have one client group named servers and there are 32/64 bit servers in the same group. I notice when I go to add a install package that it gives me the choice of 32bit SEP package and 64bit package. Do I need to add both packages in order for both 32/64 servers to get the right install?  Is the correct package added to the matching 32/64 server, or do i have to create seperate groups, one 32 and one 64?

    Hello,

Incase, if you don't have 2 seperate groups for 32 bit and 64 bit, then you would have to add both packages in order for both 32 / 64 machines to get the right install.

In other words, You can assign a 32-bit and 64-bit package to the same group when you do an auto-upgrade and both clients will automatically upgrade. You don't have to create separate groups for 32-bit and 64-bit clients

    Nothing to worry.

    Hope that helps!!

    Hello,

When you use upgrade groups with this package option, yes you need to add both 32 and 64 bit packages, the clients are get correct packages you don't need to seperate them to groups.
