When will the Notification Server 6 agent support Windows 2008 SP2 and R2?

We are deploying servers running Windows 2008 SP2 and have had to remove the Altiris agent off the servers due to it not being compatible with Windows 2008 SP2. This means that we have servers that we cannot manage or patch with Altiris and this is making management nervous. We were hoping someone would know when the Notification Server 6 agent would be supported on Windows 2008 SP2.

Also does anyone know when support will be available for Windows 2008 R2?

1H 2010

We are hoping for the 1st half of 2010 to support Windows 2008 as well as Windows 7.

What about Windows 2008 SP2?

What about Windows 2008 SP2? Is that the same timeframe as 2008 R2 RTM, or will 2008 SP2 come earlier?

H1 2010 ??  I've got clients

H1 2010 ??  I've got clients putting 2k8 R2 dvds in drives to install it right now, not h1 2010.

Is there an official statement from Symantec on expected release date?

Well, you know how Microsoft

Well, you know how Microsoft was quite secretive with the pending release of both Windows 7 and 2008 R2/SP2 and did not make public betas/RCs available anywhere.

</sarcasm>

Seriously though...this is a big issue.  MS released SCCM 2007 SP2 earlier this week, and MBSA 2.1.1 as well.  Certainly they have the most access to the code and developing support for it, but this could really hurt not only Symantec's customers as in SharkSmart's case, but also potential customers when they're informed that support for their current standards will be availabe sometime in the next 8 months...

Thanks,
