  • 1.  Where can I find my error logs in Servicedesk 7.1?

Because this solution lives on the fringe of my NS server, I am confused about where to find my logs.

Thanks for reading this and any help provided.

    Cheers.

ServiceDesk Solution logs into Notification Server logs as the rest of solutions.

The actual ServiceDesk server logs into Workflow logs (Logs folder under Workflow install folder, for ServiceDesk 7.1, default location is C:\Program Files\Symantec\Workflow\Logs)

You can use the Workflow log viewer to make reading the logs easier.  On a default installation you can find the log viewer in Start > All Programs > Symantec > Workflow Designer > Tools > Log Viewer.  You can also access this from the Task Tray Tool.

We use SMS Trace to view our logs. We've found it to be better than the built-in log viewer. We simply map a drive to the logs folder (since we don't directly log into or RDP to the Workflow server) and double-click the log to view it SMS Trace after associating it. It's been very helpful in troubleshooting the darn workflows.
