Where do I find Windows 7 (32 bit) Sysprep Executable?

Created: 08 Sep 2012 • Updated: 08 Sep 2012 | 2 comments

I am running Ghost Cast Server (Version 11.5.0.2113) on a Windows Server 2003 Environment.

I am trying to build a Windows 7 (32 bit) Answer File for Sysprep to build an image to be deployed over an enterprise network.

I am following the steps for "How to midify the Windows 7 Answer File" (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH152734)

When I get to Step 10 (Select the version of Windows 7 that it applicable to you), I am unable to find the proper Sysprep Executable File. I have copied the Sysprep file of one of our local Windows 7 (32 bit) clients (c:\windows\system32\sysprep) but that hasn't succeeded.

Google searches for "Download Windows 7 Sysprep Executable" have not been successful.

The only options I have available are: Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows XP (64 bit), Windows Vista, and Windows Vista (64 bit).

Please Assist.

You do find it in C:\Windows\System32 ... no need to download it anymore since Vista.

You should also be aware that you need to use LiveUpdate to bring your Ghost version up to 11.5.1.2266 if you want full support for Windows 7 and sysprep. Your version lacks that support.
