I though all patches where downloaded from the symantec website? What is this trying to download from the Microsoft website ?

No, the pmimport file tells Patch Management where to download the patches from and will usually be the manufacturer's website.

Thats what I thought - so why is it trying to pull stuff from microsoft download site ? I've never set it up to do that.

By the manufacturer's site I mean the Microsoft site for Microsoft patches, the Adobe site for Adobe patches and so on.

    Hi JoeShmo,

As it was already mentioned by default Patch Management Solution downloads software updates using download URLs provided by vendor.

But some software updates require additional scripts for installation via Patch Management Solution. These scripts(not updates) are indeed downloaded from Symantec site.

    Thanks,
    Roman
