  • 1.  which firewall port to open for SEPM 11.0.5 Client to communicate management for update def file

    Posted Jul 22, 2010 01:05 PM
I am using Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0 on win2008 plateform with around 200 SEP clients getting definition update etc.. my 125 client are proper getting updates, but I am having challenges with 75 of my clients, which are sitting behind the firewall, over 2 mbps Leased Line. because of this all ports are locked out and I have to ask firewall team to open firewall ports for 75 clients. Does anyone know what ports are required to be opened on firewall to getting latest defi. file from SEPM Console . I need to know the port # and traffic flow like inbond or outbond or both ?  - Thanks in advance

its the port number what you set while installing SEPM
    by default its 8014
You can open iis on the sepm server and see what port the symantec web server is using.
you need to open only that port

How to allow Symantec Endpoint Protection clients in a remote location to be managed by a Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager that's behind a NAT device
