  • 1.  which firewall ports to open for SEPM

    Posted Jul 11, 2011 11:11 PM
I am using Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 11.0 on win2008 x64 plateform with around 15 SEP 11.0 clients to get auto definition update etc.. My SEPM is sitting behind the firewall, because of this all ports are locked out and I have to ask firewall team to open firewall ports b/w SEPM and clients. Does anyone know what ports are required to be opened on firewall to push latest def file from SEPM to SEP Client. Also SEPM internet is blocked too,I guess I have to open SSL port 443 to the internet to download latest Definition files from Symantec website.
I need to know the port # and traffic flow like inbond or outbond or both ?  - Thanks in advance

    Hi,

clients connect to the SEPM at port 8014.

LiveUpdate connects over TCP ports 80 (HTTP), 21 (FTP) and 443 (HTTPS).
