can anybody tell me which key should be used as the verified directory key in Universal Server? And how to create such a key?

    Thanks a lot!

you create the keys inside PGP Desktop, you then import them into the universal server.

We have no license for pgp desktop. Are there any other possibilitys to get a verified directory key?

What I mean is not the key which a user uploads to the verified directory.

I mean this key which needs to be configured in universal server under organization keys to use the verified directory.

You should able using PGP Deskop to create a key without a license. You actually need to create a key manually and then upload it under Vertified Directory Key. There is on option on UN to create such a key on the Server. Hope this helps to solve your problem.

    I found an other possibility:

I can create a user on UN manually. Then send an email via telnet with this users emailadress as the senders adress, which triggers the key generation. I can export the key and import it as the verified directory key, and can delete the user after that.

Is this a solution that works or will we run in problems?

    Thanks

I don't see this other possibility should be less work then the way I described previously, but sure this can be another way to create such key.

But you have to do some additional work, i.e. update the Key information, because it contains the UserID and Email Address from the temporary User you have created.
