Endpoint Protection

My current version is 11.0.5002.333 and I will need to do an in-line upgrade this production to 12.1 RU1. I went to the download site and I can not decide which one should I install?

'Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU1 Part 1 installation EN.exe' or 'Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU1 SEPM EN.exe'

also, do I have to install 'Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU1 Win32/64-bit Client EN.exe' on SEPM server? I believe this is the latest version of client that will be pushed down to SEP Clients on my network.

This will contain everything you need for the upgrade.

You will NOT need to download anything more than this package.

The client will be included in the Server once the upgrade is complete.

You will have to install the client on the SEPM server as just the SEPM server itself does not offer any protection.

You will be able to deploy via new package or via the SEPM console.

It is always recommended to backup your server first.  See article below for backup and disaster recovery.

Dowenload the SEPM 12.1 RU1 part 1 Installation and part 2 Tools 

once dowload the product stop the symantec services that is

Go to Run and type services.msc stop the SEPM services and 

Run the SEP setup file once SEPM upgreade 

From console upgreade the clients also group by group.

Thanks, Mohankumar. I am aware of this but almost forget! thanks for a remind. By the way, the client version is 11.0.5002.333, I have couple questions, please advice, thanks.

1) How do I prevent Auto Client Upgrade? I have some crucial PCs 24x7, these pc performance cannot be hit with client upgrade process and they cannot be reboot without schedule days ahead in advance.

2) Client upgrade to version 12.1, how much performance will be effected during the upgrade process? a reboot required?
