While creating a new virtual machine, list of 'Existing Networks' is empty

    Hello all,

Looking at implementing Virtual Machine Management 7.5 to standardinze how virtual guests are deployed in Hyper-V by using the same jobs I use to deploy physical servers.  Thus far I have connected to the hosts and can successfully gather inventory on a regual basis.  I am now looking at the steps required to allow for the creation of new guests via the 'Create Virtual Machine' wizard, but when I get to Step 4, where I have to provide network details, I am unable to specify a 'New network' because I cannot select any network adapter, nor am I able to specify an 'existing network' because the list is blank.  Strangely enough, when I look at the host inventory I can see all of the virtual networks correctly ....  I just cannot see them in the wizard.

Anybody having the same issue?  Is there anything that I need to configure ahead of time (other than adding and inventorying the host) to be able to create new virtual machines?

The vistual networks were created on the hosts using VMM.

    Thanks

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

We have got your query. For further analysis of this issue, please let us know below details.

    1.       What is Hyper-v platform version (Hyperv 2008R2\Hyperv 2012)?

    2.       Are you getting networks list and its association as true\false on respective Host detail page?

    3.       What is ITMS version (7.5 or 7.5 with Hot Fix 3)?

    4.       Is the inventory task for the host getting completed successfully?

    Thanks,
