    We've recently started getting this quartet of error messages on each of our 2 servers running Brightmail 6.1.0.0

    25 Aug 2009 09:14:29 (ERROR:3227.1): [39004] Failure when updating Whitelist and Blacklist Rules from version 1251175162 to 1251175353.
    25 Aug 2009 09:14:29 (ERROR:3227.1): [37024] Black-White List Module: Error removing IRU from ruleset.
    25 Aug 2009 09:14:29 (ERROR:3227.1): [12063] Cannot process 'Whitelist and Blacklist Rules'.

    How often are you seeing this error? It's fairly common to get an error about rules occasionally, but if you are seeing them persistently there could be an issue. Also, if you are running a Control Center, does the scanner show as accessible in the main page on the User Interface? You would want to make sure that your rules show as up to date.

    Since this is an error about rules, it may be a corrupted rule set. If this is the case, we can clean up the rule sets through a support call and hopefully that would resolve the error.

    Actually its rearly happen. Yes scanner show as accessible 

    AntiVirus Filter Update was suspended for more than 9 hours where AntiSpam Filter Update was updating

    yes mostly its corrupted rule set

    The main thing is to make sure that your rules are up to date. As long as this is the case and you don't have excessive erros, you should be ok.
