Using SWG, the Whitelists are used to allow URL for ALL users.  If you want to allow some URLs for some clients, you have to add an exception into each policy for every user or group.

Is there any way to CREATE a Custom Whitelist and include this one in some policies as a new category ?? ( In the same way as a Custom restricted list for Blacklists )

    Thanks

    Hi VBAL,

You've actually almost answered your own question, the name Blacklist in the product is actually a bit deceptive, and I like to refer to Blacklists as Custom Lists as you can really use them to block or allow access to websites.  You can set aside one of the Custom Restricted lists to do exactly what you what in that you can create a new Blacklist, add the URL's you want to allow access to, assign it to one of your Custom Restricted Lists and just set the action to allow(or monitor).

    Make sense?

    Hi Kevin,

Is there any way to create a new Custom List ??  There's only 3 custom restricted list and could be necessary add some of them, with most appropiate names, for bigger companies with a lot of policies.

Or... is it possible to rename some of the included blacklist entries ( example :  adware - botnet - dialer ...  etc )

    Thanks.

    Hi VBAL,

Unfortunately this isn't currently possible and we only have those 3 Custom Restricted lists to work with.  We have had this request in the past for full customization of your own lists including the ability to name them and not to be limited to just the three custom lists.  I would expect this in a future product version, but it is not coming in V5.

    Cheers,

    Kevin
