Why can't SEPM send emails?
So I have two SEPM servers that the email settings are configured that same exact way. They have the localhost name as the server address and use port 25. Why can one send email alerts and the other cannot? They are sending to the same email address. They are on two separate networks not connected in anyway shape or form. The server which SEPM lives on does not have any type of email clients to email servers that it can talk to because the email is hosted by office 365 so it has nothing to do with the network. There are no firewalls set up on the server that cannot send emails. The Symantec endpoint client is not installed on the one that cannot send emails. Both are being pointed by hostname not ip address.
I can send test messages with the one that work with these settings to outside the network with no issue as well and I get them as well. But the other cannot send test messages. It just fails.
What could it be?

They are both 12.1.x. The one that can send is 12.1.MP1 RU2 I belive and the other that cannot send is 12.1.2.

Edit: Didn't know I could do a direct reply.
Will it send a test message or is that where it fails?

It fails saying to check the server setting and the mail address but they are the same between the two.
Check here on enabling SEPM debugging:
How to debug the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager
You can than either check thru the logs or post them here for review

Here are the logs. Nothing stand out to me.
Can you try to send a test mail from problematicSEPM from its command promnt?
Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Thanks & Regards Aravind
Is there a HowTo for that?
Have you add the same server IP in Relay setting at Exchange Server, kindly check it

There isn't an exchange server on either network. That's why I'm confused why one can send and the other cannot.
Attached is the settings for the one that can send with a successful send test.
After that attach following logs to the thread
SecurityNotifyTask.log
ScheduledReportingTask.log
You will find logs under Tomcat\logs.
