Why does not Symantec Endpoint Protection stop malware like "Total Security".

This type of malware takes up alot of resources and time to remove.

Several other similar types of malware also isnt stopped

Try Norton Security Scan.

Try Norton Security Scan.

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/tools/nss/NortonSecurityScan.exe

If still not able to detect..
Call up Symantec tech.support,Open a ticket and submit the required logs & undetected files, download the updated virus-defs.I'm sure it'll be resolved.

As malware mutates into new

As malware mutates into new variants it is difficult for any AV vendor to completely stop all malware.  From my personal experience multiple protective layers must be established to protect endpoints.

network firewall -> web filtering for malicious content -> network ids -> local firewall -> local ids -> local malware protection -> and minimized rights for users.

good luck

I have solved the problem,

I have solved the problem, but when I see that symantec endpoint solution is working as it should and report nothing and do nothing and I have to resort into using freeware to remove it something is wrong.

And, your suggestion isnt exactly less time consuming for it personell supporting an organization.
