Why I cannot find the email that I sent yesterday in my EV Journal mailbox ?

Can anyone please assist me how to troubleshoot the Exchange Server --> EV Journal archiving ?

because at the moment, when I do the search from the Vault web archive page from the browser, I can only see the time range is way too far from today (20th January 2014) as below:


does that means the EV Journal is not archiving daily instantly ?

What you shoul do, I think is:

a/ Check how many items are in the journal mailbox

If close to 0, then the journaling is likely to be working

b/ Make a note of the number of items in the journal archive via the usage.asp page

c/ Wait an hour

d/ Check how many there are in the journal archive again

If it's gone up, then the journaling is likely to be working

e/ If you're here...  then you may have a journal indexing backlog, or the indexing service may not be running at all.
