Why is the Teefer2 driver not there from MR3 onwards?

This issue has been solved. See solution.

From MR3 onwards the Teefer2 driver is disabled from LAN Properties. As far as I know the Teefer driver is responsible for capturing all network traffic entering or leaving a particular interface so that the packets may be passed to the personal firewall component of the SEP 11.0 client for analysis.

I think it is a good feature and can't understand why it has been removed from MR3 onwards. Anyone can explain the reason?

It is there

Teefer2 is still there.

Try typing "sc query teefer2" and you'll see its there.

That's NTP

Are you checking this on a system where you have the NTP installed?

De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting "Hey!  I found a virus!  Look at me!  I'm soooo goooood!"

 Teefer2 is still there, but

Teefer2 is still there, but its hidden in MR3 onwards, but predominantly shows up till MR2. Some references are as follows

Hope this answers your question

Removed Due to security reasons.

Earlier it was easy to bypass the Firewall.
Just go ahead and uncheck Teefer2.
You want to remove NTP even if it is password protected...just go ahead and un-install teefer2 from LAN properties.
Once Teefer2 is unchecked from LAN properties that means your firewall is as good as not installed.
So for this reason Symantec removed it from LAN properties.

Same thing goes with Admin Defined Exceptions as well.
