Will SAV 10.2 client run on Windows Server 2008 x64 (used as a client OS)?

    Greetings,

I'm in the unusual position of experimenting with Windows Server 2008 x64 as a client OS. I'm doing so because Server is significantly faster and sleeker than Vista x64, and gives me a little more power & flexibility. No other reasons.

I access a network via VPN. The only server-like activities this OS will perform are quite basic:

    1. Run VMs.
    2. Run a personal NAS.
    3. Foreseeably, some occasional peer-to-peer connections.
    4. Potentially run a small CMS+CRM website (not currently running off this OS).

Has Symantec debugged 10.2 client for x64 Vista? For that matter, for Server 2008 x64? Apparently, our network managers haven't clearer newer versions yet.

    Thanks,
    a.k.a.

    hi,

I can tell you that at the moment i have 3 servers Evaluating the Windows 2008 Server. In one of them i have the client instaled with out problems and working great.

Except for one glitch. The right click on file to scan it is not there. maybe it didnt installed or is not compatible. But everything else until now looks like is working very well.

    Hope the info helps.
