Ghost Solution Suite

I am just curious, because it seems that we have been at 2.5.1 quite some time now. I am wondering if Symantec is finally going to pull the plug on it's Ghost enterprise suite, and concentrate on the Altiris line of end management products for deployment.

I think the Altiris is the future in Symantecs plans. It's sad because GSS is simple and easy tool to use. But still wating offical kill for GSS:(

Symantec won't kill a product until it stops generating revenue greater than its maintenance cost. I think it will continue for a while yet.

I think GSS days are numbered. Altiris products, are a little less user friendly, but so much more robust. Time will tell.

My guess is we'll see a 3.0.

I do hope so I am a big fan of the product. Although Altiris Deployment Solution is alot more robust and powerful. I don't know why symantec would keep GSS alive.
