Win 7 Crash due to SEP
Created: 01 Dec 2009 | 3 comments
HI everyone
I am having an issue with Windows 7, the system has crashed and shows a blue screen of death process1_initialization_failed. stop error no. 6b.
I suspect the issue is with SEP as it has been giving me warnings lately about a bad driver (Something with the name Confidence) and i was using SEP version 11. can you help me solve this problem or tell me a way i can remove SEP by using CMD
i cant start the computer normally or through safe mode, thanks appreciate your comments.

Hi. Yesterday (december
Hi.
Yesterday (december second) we had approximately 15 computers with BSOD. "PROCESS1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED" stop 0x0000006b.
-Windows 7 32 bits
-HP 6510b and HP 6530b
-Symantec Endpoint Protection.
Can't say what caused this problem. Not convinced that it is SEP but it is possible. We have had some trouble with it. Otherwise the transition from XP to W7 have gone really nice.
process1_initialization_failed Windows 7 fix
We have SEP on all of our Windows 7 PCs and have had the same issue on numerous computers. I have no idea what the cause is. Here is a work around that seems to fix it.
Delete bootcat.cashe from C:\windows\system32\codeintegrity\
From a working pc copy this directory and paste it into the same place on the non working PC c:\windows\system32\catroot\{F750E6C3-38EE-11D1-85E5-00C04FC295EE}\
(We booted into windows PE and put the files on an usb drive to copy them over.)
sep + windows 7
we started to have this problem last thursday. since then about 10 (3 per day usually) 32bit windows 7 machines with sep have crashed due to process1_initialization_failed 0x6b error code. some of those machines are 1.5 months old and haven't had any problems until now. some of them are newer though..
i read this thread on microsoft answers and the thing we all have in common is sep. the bsod can be fixed by deleting/modifying bootcat.cache file but i would like to know why these bluescreens are happening.
